Ok People

I have worked a date with my *filtered*ociates for a camping weekend with a freshwater flavour.

Maroon dam is stocked with b*filtered* and yellowbelly and cod.

Maroon dam has good camping about 800m from the waters edge.

Maroon dam you will require a Stocked Impoundment Permit(SIP). Permits available on line from here,

If you want an early start to the weekend, you could probably leave work/home on the friday arvo and get there easily during the night( easy to Find).

We will be camping here,

I'll will book the site for us all.

Maroon, I have fished for ten years, it is easy to catch b*filtered* here, last time we were there on an akff weekend a few novices caught some yellowbelly around the 50cm mark and alot cracked the b*filtered* cherry. The dam has a good early morning edge bite and during the day the fish move out to the centre of the dam. With the recent rains in has filled to near 60 percent capacity, with this the area at the back of the dam with narrows, tree lined and beautiful really, has been flooded. This opens up a fishing area away from the ski boats and great for just relaxing as well. Maroon also has a fantastic night bite, PDO recently fished there on dark scoring 10 b*filtered* in 20 casts all on poppers, so some exciting fishing can be had there at night also.

For the East Coast Kayak Fishing Club members there is some great prizes to win in the comp on the weekend, refer here.

So lets get all excited, All welcome, always fun up there.

Post here if you intend on coming.

Definates.

Paul

My wife works in the Education Department, and the 14th of April is the new term in Queensland after the Easter hols, so Qld is clear but NSw probably still has the hols though.

Gra and Me thats two for Maroon.

Cheers

Yeah I'll head up Friday sometime, set-up and hit the water late arvo for a fish. Ya just need to let me know where the booked camping site is so I don't set-up the tent in the wrong place (though having made these comments it does give you the idea now don't it?) But you folks wouldn't do that to your newest ECKFC member would you now? Would you?????? Evil or Very Mad

Cheers,

Pete
