I "sell" firewood, Steve if you are out and about you can come get some bags off me on Thurs or Fri. I am stocktaking Tues & Wed at other stores. Of course my company is happy to donate some firewood to ECKFC, say 3 bags. _________________ Two b*filtered* swim into a concrete wall, one turns to the other and says "dam". |

If any-one wants it, it's just a matter of e-mailing a copy of your SIP to my office : or phoning me on mobile 0421 356 236 then faxing a hard copy. Happy to do it prior to the trip or any-time for that matter. If you're going to fax, please call during business hours.

Make sure it's hardwood too. Some of those servos only sell pine, which is ash in seconds.
Hopefully the forecast winds won't be as strong as suggested.
I should be there late morning on Friday. Who expects to be there before then?
Cheers,

Thanks, Sel.
I might come a touch earlier than planned - say arrive around 10am-ish. Paddlepop just advised that he can't make it now. His dad is in hospital.
Your collective advice on the best route/roads to the Dam thanks? I'm coming from the northside of Brissy. I've checked Google Maps, which suggests to go via Gateway, Logan Motorway, Beaudesert Road, Mt Lindsay Hwy, Boonah-Rathdowney Road. Travelmate.com suggests ... cutting through Toowong, Centenary Hwy, Ipswich Mwy, Cunningham Hwy, Boonah-F*filtered*ifern Road, then through Boonah down the Boonah-Rathdowney Road. Both suggest a similar amount of KLMs and time (2 hours). I guess at that time of the morning the Google suggestion might be better to avoid Milton area. Your advice?
The camp ground is on the south-eastern side of the dam isn't it?
Cheers,

Guys,
Recently given a fly rod and reel along with a bunch of flies by a mate in Sydney. Don't know if it's complete or if flies are good for anything, but I thought I might bring it all along if any-one has any idea about what to do with all this crap,.................. and before you start, we've got plenty of firewood!
Any fly fishing experts in the group? Even somewhat experienced fly fisher folk?

Jeff,
I've seen young Kilkenny (AKFFer) use a fly rod from his yak at Baroon. He doesn't let too much line out and just shoots an unweighted soft plastic into the weed and uses short strips back to the yak.

doesnt matter which way you come at that time of the morning as you would be traveling against the traffic run.
If you want to maintain a steady speed and pay tolls head via Logan Road,
If you want to get lots of stop tart and lights head through the city.
Yes the camp is on the southern side, past the general dam turn off. Go to the home page, Sel has put trip info / whereis directions on the main page.
Helpfull suckers arn't we. _________________ Cheers
